(Orange)— The Santiago Canyon College (SCC) Foundation will host the fourteenth annual Hawks Golf Tournament at the Tustin Ranch Golf Club on Friday, April 25. Friends and supporters of the college will come together for a day of golf to raise funds to support the college foundation, SCC’s athletic programs, and to provide scholarships for scholar-athletes.
Golfers will register from 10:00 a.m. to noon when the driving range will also be open. At 10:30 a.m., the competition gets started with a putting contest. At noon, all golfers will hit the greens with a shotgun start and a four-person scramble. Throughout the tournament, on-course contests will include men’s/women’s closest to the pin contests, a hole in one challenge, men’s/women’s longest drive competition, and a marshmallow drive.
The event ends with a silent auction at 5:00 p.m. and the famous Wrangler Grill barbecue dinner at 5:30 p.m. Singles or foursomes can register to play 18 holes of golf. Golfers can register to compete in the putting contest that will take place prior to the tee-off even if they are not playing the full tournament. Dinner-only packages are also available at $50 per person.
Foursome registration is $900 and single player registration is $225. The last day to register is April 18. Registration is available online at www.sccollege.edu/golftournament. Sponsorships are available and range from $250 to $7,500. Donations are also sought for silent auction items and for the tournament goodie bags.
