RSCCD Child Development Services Hosts Second Community Resource Fair on June 17

​(Santa Ana, CA)—Rancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD) Child Development Services will hold its second annual Community Resources Fair on Saturday, June 17.

This free event is geared to Orange County parents of children of all ages. The fair will take place in the Santa Ana College (SAC) Lot #8 in front of SAC’s Early Childhood Education Center. The college is located at 1530 W. 17th St., Santa Ana, CA, 92706. The festivities and educational opportunities will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Community Resource Fair links families to the different community resources and services available, including the Santa Ana Public Library, CalOptima, and Covered California. Bilingual professionals will be on hand to answer questions and provide guidance to parents wishing to ensure their young children have access to vital education, literacy, health, and wellness resources.

The “Children’s Corner” returns with hands-on and make and take STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) activities for young children. In addition to community resource booths, the fair will offer live entertainment on the main stage for everyone’s enjoyment.

Opportunity drawings for educational materials, Starbucks gift basket, bunk beds, zoo admission, Pretend City tickets, and other prizes will occur throughout the day.

Representatives from over 30 community organizations will be on hand. They include: City of Santa Ana Water Resource; Boys and Girls Club of Garden Grove; Discovery Cube Orange County; Child Behavior Pathways; Think Together; Child Guidance; Orange County United Way Read Aloud; Santa Ana College, School of Continuation Education, Centennial Education Center; Healthy Smiles for Kids of Orange County; Santa Ana Police Department; Assurance Wireless; RSCCD Child Development Services; Turning Point Center For Families; Santa Ana College Padres Promotores; Epilepsy Support Network of Orange County; Speech and Language Development Center; Thrivent Financial Education; Fair Housing Council of Orange County; Alcoholics Anonymous; Orange County Credit Union; Orange County Fire Authority; Hurtt Family Health Clinic; Regional Center of Orange County; Orange County Health Clinic/Inmunizations.
