Santiago Canyon College Foundation Names Tristan DeMers to Board of Directors

 

​(Orange, CA)—The Santiago Canyon College Foundation (SCCF) has appointed Tristan DeMers to its board of directors. The foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, raises funds to support Santiago Canyon College and its students through the leadership of a twelve-member volunteer board.

Mr. DeMers brings to the foundation 14 years of accounting and business advising experience. He is currently the owner and president of PruVise, which specializes in providing auditing, asset allocation, wealth management and other financial services. Prior to founding the company, he worked as an accountant for other firms, including Mensch LLC, Merchants Advocates, Inc. and a Bankcard Service Corporation (Wholesale Merchant Services and sister company Wholesale Merchant Processing). His areas of expertise include individual, corporate, and LLC full-cycle accounting, tax preparation, financial planning and analysis, corporate finance and high net worth wealth management. He serves clients in a wide range of sectors, including professional services, financial services, consulting, tech start-ups, the restaurant/retail industry and private equity/hedge funds.

His involvement in our community as a successful business owner, as well as his knowledge of finance and investment, will be of great value to us as we grow the Foundation to serve our students, faculty and administration. He will truly benefit the Foundation and SCC,” said Larry Cohn, SCCF Board President.

Mr. DeMers holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting from New Charter University and an Associate of Arts in Accounting from Penn Foster College. In addition to his new volunteer role with the SCC Foundation, he is an Ambassador for the Beverly Hills Chambers of Commerce. He was also responsible for establishing a give-back initiative benefiting two non-profits in Beverly Hills (Friends of Beverly Gardens Park and the Beverly Hills Education Foundation). In his spare time, he enjoys reading, golfing, hiking, weight lifting, and wine tasting.
