(Orange, CA)—The Santiago Canyon College (SCC) Performing Arts Department in Orange will present “Home for the Holidays,” on Saturday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m. in the SCC gymnasium, located at 8045 E. Chapman Avenue.

Last year, a survey by American Express revealed that 13% of consumers attended a holiday theatre or musical. Holiday performances are integrated into the traditions that contribute to the excitement of the season.

‘Home for the Holidays’ is a colorful and festive holiday celebration of diversity in music and dance, directed by Dr. Binh Vu, chairperson of SCC’s Fine and Performing Arts Department. It features the SCC student Dance Ensemble, the Dance for Joy community dance ensemble, the SCC Collegiate Choir and Community Chorale, the Santa Ana High School Chorus, the Huong Duong Music Community Children’s Choir, and Symphony Irvine under the artistic direction of Dr. Dean Anderson conducted by Vu. “This program includes some of the best from a global holiday repertoire in music and dance including Christmas on Broadway, Rossini, Tchaikovsky, and of course the Hallelujah Chorus by Handel,” said Vu. “It’s a great way to get your family into the spirit of the season and appeals to children and adults alike.”
