Santiago Canyon College Ranked Fifth Best Medium-Sized Community College by Education Reference Desk

(Orange, CA) Education Reference Desk recently ranked Santiago Canyon College (SCC) the fifth best medium-sized school in the state in its most recent rankings of California’s top community colleges.

Data was gathered from NCES.ed.gov and rankings were determined by graduation and transfer rates of all students in attendance. Medium schools are defined as having an enrolled student body of between 5,000 and 14,999 students.“What an honor to be named as one of the top 10 medium-sized community colleges within the state of California,” said Dr. John C. Hernandez, Ph.D., president, Santiago Canyon College, “particularly because the rankings are based on such student outcomes as graduation and transfer rates. This is a testament to our commitment to student success and demonstrates an alignment with the statewide Vision for Success.”

Accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior College (ACCJC), SCC offers certificate and degree and transfer programs at an affordable rate. In-state tuition is approximately $1,142, with out-of-state students spending approximately $7,262 a year. Students receive financial aid and advising services, in addition to access to a language lab, math success center, writing center and supplemental instruction to assist with student success.
