​(Santa Ana, CA)— Rancho Santiago Community College District's (RSCCD) Corporate Training Institute will be hosting a grand opening and open house at its new GED Testing Center on Tuesday, April 28 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The new testing site is located at 2323 N. Broadway, Suite 315, Santa Ana. Open to the public, the open house will feature speakers, tours, and refreshments. GED (General Equivalency Diploma) certification provides a second chance for individuals to gain skills they need in order to improve career prospects, or to seek higher education.

According to Ruth Cossio-Muniz, director of the Corporate Training Institute, a new testing partnership with the world’s largest computer-based testing service affords more opportunities to candidates. “Through Pearson VUE’s secure test center network, the district will now be able to offer same-day testing, while candidates can register and reschedule tests online.”

GED test preparation classes are available at Santa Ana College’s Centennial Education Center and at Santiago Canyon College’s Orange Education Center.  The Corporate Training Institute is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
