Santa Ana College Dance Department Hosts Dance Showcase on December 6

Donations to Benefit SAC Dancers for Upcoming ACDA Dance Competition

(Santa Ana, CA) - The Santa Ana College (SAC) Dance Department will showcase its talented students on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 as it hosts Studio Night: Dance Department Showcase at Phillips Hall Theatre, Santa Ana College, 1530 W. 17th St., Santa Ana, 92706, at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $3 and can be purchased in advance or at the SAC Box Office prior to the event. The box office will open at 6:45 p.m. Drinks and small snacks will be available for purchase.
All proceeds will support a small group of selected dance majors attending the American College Dance Association dance competition taking place at the University of Oregon in March 2017.

“This will be unlike a traditional concert,” said SAC Dance Department Chair Heather Gillette. “The Studio Night presentations will be without the lights, costumes and full-length works, but will instead focus on short dance combinations.” The “Studio Night” is an informal evening of dance performances that highlight what each dance class has been working on throughout the semester. “Some students have been performing for a number of years, while other students will be performing for their very first time,” she added. “Every time we have this showcase it is a fun-filled evening for everyone.”
