Santiago Canyon College Art Gallery Holds Special Exhibit Featuring Work of Middle School Artists

“Expressions: A Showcase of Middle School Artists with Special Needs” exhibit runs now through November 16

(Orange, CA)—Santiago Canyon College (SCC) today announced an exhibit featuring the artwork of middle school artists with special needs.

Curated by Lakeside Middle School speech pathologist Emily Miller and kicked off with an October 26 opening reception, the exhibit runs through November 16, at the SCC Art Gallery (located on the east side of the D Building). Exhibit hours are Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., or by appointment. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

“The exhibition showcases artwork from middle school students with a range of abilities, but all of whom are passionate about creating art,” said Emily Miller, exhibit curator. “We are hoping it will be a fun and rewarding experience for the artists, as well an opportunity to promote ability awareness and celebrate each artist's strengths and uniqueness.”
