Frequently Asked Questions

RSCCD has recruited an outside agency – LIITE Consulting Group (LCG) – to conduct a work culture assessment to better understand the workplace environment, employee experiences, and areas where we can grow together. Your input will help RSCCD strengthen its culture, policies, and practices to better support all employees. The FAQ below offers further details about what to expect from this process.

What is the Climate Survey?

The Climate Survey is a confidential process designed to measure the current work environment across our district. It will focus on key topic areas including Belonging, Mattering, Safety, Inclusion, and Career Growth. This assessment will feature two parts: an online survey and nine focus groups led by skilled facilitators.

Why are we doing this now?

Given the intentional shifts within the RSCCD Human Resources Department to ensure a more positive campus climate and better employee support and engagement, we want to continue our efforts to make sure that our district remains a place where employees feel valued, supported, and able to thrive. This assessment will provide HR and the wider campus community with data to guide positive changes and address opportunities for improvement.

Who is administering the Climate Assessment?

RSCCD Human Resources has contracted with LIITE Consulting Group (LCG) to conduct this districtwide climate survey. The LCG team consists of three members, led by Nikita Gupta, an expert in organizational resilience who has worked in Higher Education for over 15 years.

Who will participate in the assessment?

All district employees — Managers, Classified Staff, and Faculty — are invited to participate.

When will this assessment take place? (Project Timeline)

The Climate Assessment data collection process will take place during November–December 2025. Data analysis will take place from January–March 2026. The final report will be provided back to RSCCD in Spring 2026.

How will we be notified about the Survey and the Focus Groups?

Employees will be notified via email about both assessment opportunities. You will receive a secure email containing a link to the online survey, which can be completed on any device. You will also receive an email from LIITE Consulting Group to sign up for the focus groups.

Is the assessment anonymous?

Yes. All responses are confidential. No individual names will be attached to survey results or focus group data. Data will be reported only in aggregate form. Questions related to identity are optional and used solely to help understand group differences. IP addresses will not be collected or used to identify participants. You may skip any question you do not wish to answer.

What are details about the online survey?

The online survey will take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete and contain around 45 multiple-choice questions. You may skip any questions you prefer not to answer. The survey can be completed during your workday.

What are details about the Focus Groups?

Focus groups are small, diverse discussions led by trained moderators. For this assessment, nine focus groups will be held across three constituency groups: classified staff, managers, and faculty. Sessions will be offered in person and virtually, lasting about 90 minutes each.

HR will send emails inviting employees to sign up for focus groups on specific days and times. LCG will assign up to 15 participants per group, ensuring diversity. In-person sessions will include light refreshments, and no district/HR employees will be present. No audio will be recorded, and names will not be captured to protect privacy.

When will I see the results? How will they be used?

A district-wide summary report will be shared with all employees in Spring 2026 after data analysis. The results will help district leaders:

  • Identify strengths in our workplace culture
  • Highlight areas for improvement
  • Inform future policies, training, and initiatives
  • Track progress over time
