NOTE: The steps below show how to set up your RSCCD employee email account on different mobile devices, using the built-in mail app.
Most mail apps (e.g., Outlook) can sync with your employee email account using some variation of these settings.
NOTE: Employees are responsible for any data charges that their
carrier may apply; the District will not reimburse the employee for
these expenses.

Email on Apple Devices (iPhone or iPad)
Add email to Apple Device:
Follow these steps to add your email to an Apple Device.

From the home screen, go to Settings.
- Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars or Mail.
- Tap Add Account.
- Select Microsoft Exchange as the email provider.
- Enter the following account information:
- Email: Your email address (e.g.
Doe_John@rsccd.edu).
- Username: Your WebAdvisor ID (e.g. jd54321).
- Password: Your password for your network login.
- Server:
mail.rsccd.edu
- Domain: rsc (this is an optional field).
- Description: If desired, you can enter an optional account description (e.g. Work Account).
- The device may suggest synchronizing your Outlook calendar and contacts.
- Select On to sync Outlook calendars and contacts.
- Select Off to turn off syncing with Outlook calendars and contacts.
- Under Advanced Settings, turn on Use SSL.
- This secures your email and must be selected, or the sync will not work.
- Select Done to finish the set up.
NOTE: It may take a few minutes for the device to fully sync. Your mail, calendar, and contacts may not appear immediately, but will populate in the background.
Remove email from Apple Device:
If you need to remove your email from your Apple Device, follow these steps.
- From the home screen, go to Settings.
- Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars or Mail.
- Select Accounts.
- From the list of Accounts, select your employee email account.
- Select Delete Account.
- To confirm, select Delete from My iPhone / iPad.
Additonal Email Settings for Apple Devices:
For other additional settings, check under Mail, Contacts, Calendars or Mail, to adjust features such as:
- The number of messages shown.
- Message preview.
- Font size.
- Showing To and CC fields.
- Options to BCC yourself on all Emails sent.
- Prompt before deleting message.
- Push frequency.
- Signature.
- Selecting the default mail account

Email on Android Devices
Add email to an Android Device:
Follow these steps to add your email to an Android device.

Locate the Accounts feature on the phone.
- This is usually in Settings, but sometimes under Mail.

Select Add Account.
- Select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync as the email provider.

Enter the following account information:
- Select Use Secure Connection (SSL).
- This must be selected or the sync will not work.
- Once the settings are entered, continue selecting Next or OK to verify the settings.
- If warned about Remote security administration, select OK.
- If prompted for Account options for syncing emails, you can leave these as the default, and select Next.
- If prompted to Activate, select OK to finish.
NOTE:
It may take a few minutes for the device to fully sync. Your mail,
calendar, and contacts may not appear immediately, but will populate in the background.
Remove email from an Android Device:
If you need to remove your email from your Android device, follow these steps.

Locate the Accounts feature on the phone.
- This is usually in Settings, but sometimes under Mail.
- From the list of Accounts, select your employee email account.
- Select Remove Account.
- You may receive a pop up saying "Removing the account will delete all of its message, contacts, and other data. Continue?". Select Remove Account again to continue.
Additional Settings for Android Devices:
For other additional settings, check under Settings or Mail to adjust features such as:
- Push frequency.
- Sync period and schedule.
- Default account.
- Signatures.
- CC/BCC settings.
- Files and downloads.
- Notifications.
- Deletion confirmation.
- Message preview.
- The device will suggest synchronizing the Outlook calendar and contacts.
- Select "On" to sync Outlook calendars and contacts.
- Select “Off” is selected to turn off syncing Outlook calendars and contacts.
